Homemade roasted butternut & spiced carrot soup with freshly baked bread (V)

Rustic ham hock terrine, tangy homemade piccalilli, watercress salad & toast

 Smoked haddock, crayfish & spinach fishcakes served with homemade tartar sauce & freshly dressed salad


The Main Event
Roast striploin of beef with goose fat roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and red onion wedges with a rich gravy

 Lemon & thyme chicken supreme with leek and mushroom stuffing, goose fat roasted potaotes & seasonal root vegetables

 Herb crusted fillet of Hake served on a bed of root vegetables, with a caper & spinach creamy sauce

 WCheese & parsnip roulade, rolled in a sage & onion stuffing topped with toasted hazelnuts & a creamy cheese sauce, served with seasonal root vegetables(V)

All the above are served with fresh seasonal vegetables


The Finale – sharing platter

 Your mouth watering menu with the flavours of Herefordshire is created in our kitchen. Your food will arrive at your table with a selection of freshly cut sandwiches, warm strawberry shortcake scones with homemade preserve and clotted cream, selection of mini cakes & pastries and of course that traditional pot of loose leaf tea or if you prefer freshly ground coffee.

It is getting increasingly difficult to find somewhere that serves a good quality Sunday Lunch, in and around Hereford, that isn't a carvery having sat around for hours under a hot plate.

At The Priory Hotel we are rekindeling our Sunday Lunch menu, to create a reasonably priced lunch that is cooked from fresh local ingredients, where possible, and served straight from the kitchen.

What an ideal opportunity to get a group of loved ones together and enjoy the delights of our Sunday lunch between 12pm - 2pm. Pre-booking is essential, minimum numbers apply.

After Funeral Catering in Hereford 

Come to us for your after funeral catering.

We are a family operated hotel with friendly but attentive staff to wait on you without fuss or hurry; we are a sensitive and flexible team and consider the Priory Hotel to be the perfect location for your funeral tea.

We have an adjustable space including a comfortable bar and a sitting room in which to relax for those smaller groups, a restaurant and a function room, all of which can be interconnected or separate as required. Our 8 en-suite bedrooms can accommodate those people that need to travel.

At the heart of our hotel is the Hathaway restaurant in which we use the finest and freshest ingredients from local suppliers and pride ourselves on homemade dishes.

Afternoon tea is a very popular option for funeral catering as it is often the case that numbers are uncertain, so this style of catering works well. Please find below a sample menu but bare in mind we are very flexible and can tailor a menu to suit your needs and time of day.
